Anime Final Strike Story Mode Guide
Clear Anime Final Strike Story Mode with a stable team plan, map progression, reward priorities, and a practical reset when an act becomes difficult.
Quick answer
- Clear Story worlds in order and use first clears to fund the next roster upgrade.
- Build around one damage carry, one income unit, and one control or support unit.
- Keep map food and first-clear Gems for units that will also serve Infinite and Raids.
- When an act stalls, farm an earlier world, improve levels or stats, then return with a clear plan.

Story Mode Structure
Story Mode is the main progression lane in Anime Final Strike. The current Game Modes listing presents nine themed worlds: Clown Town, Alien Island, Sand Village, Demon Winter, Huco Mondo, Asakusa Flame, Haji Village, Shibuya Crossing, and Z City. Each world is split into acts, so the useful habit is to clear the current world steadily before jumping to a harder map.
The mode also feeds the rest of the game. The published mode guide says Story worlds provide access to Infinite and themed Legend Stage acts, while first clears pay more Gems. That makes a difficult act a progression checkpoint, not a reason to spend every resource on a single unit.
Build for Reliable Act Clears
An act becomes much easier when each slot has a job. Early-game examples consistently combine damage, income, and utility. A practical version of that idea is:
- Use your strongest affordable damage unit to handle the main lane.
- Add an income unit such as Yuneko or Namu when the opening waves allow it.
- Bring control or support, such as Ice Admiral, when enemies reach the damage lane too quickly.
- Fill the remaining slots with a second damage source, a burn or bleed option, or a unit that covers a missing placement type.
Do not chase a named team if you lack one of its units. The role coverage matters more than copying a screenshot. Level the core units first, then test the act on normal speed so you can see where the leak begins.
- Enter the next available Story world and read the act reward before spending resources.
- Place the income unit only when the first wave is already safe, then fund the main damage unit.
- Upgrade the unit that covers the longest section of the path before adding extra low-level towers.
- Add control or a second damage angle when enemies begin reaching the same choke point.
- After the clear, spend the map food on the units you expect to use in the next world or Infinite.
Rewards and Unlocks
The Story reward tables show Gems plus map-specific food. Examples include Pirate Meat in Clown Town, Green Bean in Alien Island, Ramen in Sand Village, Bento in Demon Winter, and later food such as Hotpot and Monster Kombu. Treat that food as a targeted experience supply: use it to push a carry or support unit across the next useful upgrade rather than scattering it across the whole index.
First-clear Gems, Stat Engrams from Story completion, and repeatable Story rewards make the mode useful when you need a predictable resource source. The exact reward table can change with an update, so read the in-game result panel before planning a long farm.
When an Act Stops Progressing
First identify the failure wave. A leak in the first few waves usually means the opener or income timing is wrong. A leak near the end usually means the carry needs levels, better stats, more range, or a second damage source. Move one upgrade earlier before replacing the entire team.
If the act still fails, return to an earlier world for food and Gems, improve one role at a time, and retry. The mode structure gives you a natural loop: clear, invest, test, and move forward. Once Story opens a Legend Stage or Infinite access point, treat that as a new target only after your current team can clear the relevant act consistently.
