Quick answer

  • 1Raids use exclusive maps, 20 to 30 waves, and a shop that resets every few days up to a week.
  • 2Build around income plus AOE coverage, then add boss damage for the final act.
  • 3Spend map tokens on an evolution goal first, then buy rerolls or Engrams when the rotation helps.

Raid Structure

Raids are the game's repeatable multi-act challenge. The published Raid guide describes exclusive maps with unique features, runs of 20 to 30 waves, and a shop that resets every few days up to a week. The current Game Modes listing names Emies Lobby, Nature Village, Planet Koi, and Eclipse.

The reward tables use four acts for Emies Lobby, Nature Village, and Planet Koi. Each act pays Gems and a map-specific token or canister, with the listed bundles increasing in later acts. The tables also show chase drops such as SogoKing in Emies Lobby, Minoto in Nature Village, and Super Roku in Planet Koi. Treat those entries as table-listed chances, not a promise for every clear.

Build Around Economy and Coverage

Raids punish a team that only has one job. Start with a farming unit, add AOE for the wave body, and reserve at least one slot for boss damage or a support effect that keeps the lane stable. The selected Eclipse video also emphasizes reading the map layout instead of assuming the same placement works everywhere.

A Tailed Beast Unleashed route gives a concrete event example. It recommends Ulquiora, Yuneko, and Namu, opens with Yuneko and Namu near the tower for income, then places three Ulquioras near the lighthouse and upgrades them through the later breakpoints. That route is specific to the event map, yet the role order transfers well: secure income, establish repeated AOE coverage, then finish upgrades before the later waves.

  1. Read the raid map and reward token before starting so the team matches the target item.
  2. Place the income unit only after the first lane is safe, then fund the main AOE unit.
  3. Use the map's longest repeated path for AOE placements and leave room for a boss-damage unit.
  4. Upgrade the core before adding extra level-one units that do not solve the next wave.
  5. After the clear, compare the token total with the shop rotation before buying.

Spend Raid Currency with a Plan

Each raid shop pairs its own token with map-specific units, equipment, fragments, and food. The shared utility prices are easier to compare: Trait Rerolls cost 35 tokens, Perfect Stat Engrams cost 35, and Stat Engrams cost 15 on the published tables. Fragment prices and exclusive items vary by shop.

Use this priority order:

  1. Buy the map-exclusive item that completes an evolution or roster goal you can use now.
  2. Save for the expensive exclusive unit or equipment if the shop rotation will expire before you can earn enough.
  3. Buy Perfect Stat Engrams for a unit already worth investing in.
  4. Use lower-cost Stat Engrams or Trait Rerolls only after the next raid clear is secure.

The shop reset is the pressure point. Spending on a cheap item feels efficient until it delays the exclusive purchase that made you run the raid.

Recover from a Failed Run

Check the first failure, not the final defeat screen. If the opener collapses, move income later and strengthen the first damage placement. If the middle waves leak, add AOE or control along the path the enemies travel repeatedly. If only the boss survives, reserve cash for the boss-damage unit and stop buying low-level filler.

Event routes also have their own geometry. Lighthouse placements work because that raid sends enemies through a repeated line; copy the role order, then re-check every placement on Eclipse, Emies Lobby, Nature Village, or Planet Koi. A route that works on one map can leave a blind corner on another.
